Description

You will lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality features for the Grantmaker platform, drive AI-assisted development adoption, and foster a strong engineering culture. You'll collaborate cross-functionally, own delivery timelines, and shape architecture strategy to ensure scalable, high-performing systems.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science/engineering
• 8+ years software industry experience with 5+ as full-stack IC
• 3+ years managing distributed engineering teams (onshore and offshore)
• 3+ years deep experience with Ruby on Rails application architecture
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Elasticsearch, Unix, Redis, NodeJS/Python

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more engineering teams to ship high-quality features and maintain the Grantmaker platform
• Own delivery timelines, stakeholder communication, and release quality
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing distributed engineering team
• Own AI tooling adoption (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Claude.ai) and track productivity impact
• Define and own engineering OKRs, tracking platform performance and delivery health
