💼 About This Role

You'll own controls design and commissioning for custom robotic and CNC cells at Hadrian's Special Projects team, helping accelerate aerospace and defense manufacturing. You will take new production lines from concept to run-off while mentoring engineers and codifying best practices. This role offers growth into Staff Controls Engineer or Tech-Lead positions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design controls architecture for new robotic, CNC, and tooling cells.
• Write and deploy PLC applications on Siemens or Beckhoff hardware.
• Tune and commission multi-axis motion (servos, VFDs, steppers).
• Spec and design electrical panels and industrial networks.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve issues on the floor.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (electro-mechanical preferred) or equivalent.
• 3-6 years delivering automated cells end-to-end in industrial manufacturing.
• Production experience with Beckhoff and/or Siemens PLCs plus servo/VFD tuning.
• Programmed a major robotics ecosystem (ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, etc.).

✨ Nice to Have

• High-level programming in C# or Python.
• Machine vision experience with Cognex, Keyence, Zivid, or LMI.
• HMI development in Ignition or WinCC.
