Description

You will lead a dedicated team to ensure the design, reliability, and lifecycle management of storage platforms and services. Your leadership will be critical in aligning cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet customer needs, while driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years in storage, systems, platform, or infrastructure engineering
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading engineers
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, Linux internals, networking, filesystems, and performance engineering
  • Experience delivering storage platforms with defined SLAs/SLOs and on-call/incident response practices
  • Experience with modern engineering workflows and security practices relevant to storage systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Deliver roadmap outcomes: plan and execute releases/projects across storage software and/or hardware, meeting schedule, quality gates, and customer commitments
  • Technical leadership: guide architecture and design reviews; drive engineering best practices for reliability, performance, scalability, maintainability, and security
  • Operational excellence: establish and continuously improve engineering processes
  • Quality & compliance: ensure robust test strategy, automation, and release readiness; drive timely remediation of critical defects
  • Incident and escalation management: lead structured response for customer escalations and postmortems
  • Cross-functional collaboration: partner with various teams to align scope, priorities, and delivery
  • People leadership: hire, onboard, coach, and develop engineers and tech leads
  • Resource and budget planning: manage capacity and staffing plans as needed
  • Vendor/open-source engagement: manage dependencies on third-party components and evaluate build vs. buy decisions
  • Documentation and readiness: ensure clear functional specs and operational documentation
