💼 About This Role

You'll join Formlabs' embedded team to design and implement firmware that ties software, hardware, and electronics together in cutting-edge 3D printers. Your code will ship to tens of thousands of devices, enabling users to turn digital models into physical objects. You'll work on-site in our Somerville, MA office with a product-focused, agile team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, test, and ship development tools and prototype code for R&D engineers.
• Design, build, test, and ship code for new printer features to field devices.
• Ensure code re-use with focus on maintainability, testing, and CI.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to build right features.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience writing code for hardware products in consumer, medical, defense, or industrial space.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python for embedded stacks.
• Experience with embedded software architecture patterns like filtering, control loops, and RPC.
• Ability to debug complex hardware/software interactions.

• Familiarity with embedded Linux.
• Experience with Javascript.
