You'll lead technical strategy and architecture for scalable growth systems on the Growth team at Airwallex, a global payments platform. You'll drive experimentation and new-user onboarding optimizations that directly shape customer acquisition. This role offers high visibility in a rapidly scaling fintech unicorn.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Partner with Product and Design to define roadmap and success metrics
• Drive delivery practices: planning, prioritisation, and iterative execution
• Own technical strategy for services and APIs with focus on scalability
• Guide design reviews and raise engineering quality standards

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems
• Proficiency in modern JVM ecosystems like Java 17+, Kotlin, Spring Boot
• Expert knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems
• Hands-on experience with GCP/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and observability tools

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building scalable growth features like referral systems
• Background in A/B testing frameworks and data analytics
• Familiarity with building products using AI and LLMs
