Description

You will lead the design vision, standards, and systems across WBEZ, Chicago Sun-Times, and CPM's digital ecosystem. You'll ensure design excellence across print, broadcast, web, mobile, and emerging platforms while building a collaborative, inclusive design culture.

• Experience leading design at a senior leadership level
• Expertise in design systems, accessibility, and cross-platform consistency
• Strong ability to collaborate with editorial, marketing, and product teams
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing design talent
• Experience in a mission-driven or news organization preferred

Responsibilities

• Establish and champion a cohesive design vision across WBEZ, Chicago Sun-Times, and CPM products
• Ensure design excellence across print, broadcast, web, mobile, and emerging platforms
• Serve as the organization's final decision-maker on design standards, quality, and governance
• Lead, mentor, and develop designers across business teams including product, marketing, and circulation
• Own and implement CPM's design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability
