💼 About This Role

You'll shape the long-term technical strategy of Coupang's AuthN/AuthZ platform for global e-commerce. Your work will directly impact the reliability and security of customer experiences across Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and other markets. This role offers the chance to mentor senior engineers and drive cross-functional alignment on a massive scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define 12-18 month platform roadmap and author RFCs
• Design multi-region, multi-tenant AuthN/AuthZ architectures
• Uphold SLOs, error budgets, and lead incident management
• Mentor senior and staff engineers through design reviews

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional backend development
• 7+ years in Java/Kotlin/Spring-based service development
• 3+ years of architecture leadership
• Deep expertise in web-scale microservices with AWS and Kubernetes

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience designing AuthN/AuthZ infrastructure
• Hands-on with Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, Airflow
• Expertise in JVM performance tuning and large-scale caching
