💼 About This Role

You'll provide strategic legal support to Equitable Bank's Commercial Banking division, advising on commercial lending transactions, regulatory compliance, and new product development. Your work will directly shape banking solutions for over 800,000 customers across Canada.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Review, prepare, and negotiate commercial lending agreements and documentation
• Advise on deal structuring, intercreditor arrangements, and security perfection
• Support new product development and strategic initiatives for legal compliance
• Research legal issues and evaluate implications for the Bank

📋 Requirements

• LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized law school
• Called to the Ontario Bar and good standing with Law Society of Ontario
• 4-6 years post-call experience in commercial banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of Canadian banking laws and commercial real estate law

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with CMHC insured loan transactions
• Familiarity with insolvency law and proceedings
• French language proficiency
