💼 About This Role

You'll build mission-critical backend services and AI agents that power real-time navigation for Mapbox's largest global customers. You'll own the entire incident lifecycle from ingestion to strategic delivery. You'll partner with the MapGPT team to evolve AI feedback systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the team to scope and define tasks.
• Design and deliver scalable backend services.
• Maintain operational excellence through testing and monitoring.
• Reduce technical debt and mentor teammates.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years building scalable low-latency backend services.
• 1+ years building petabyte-scale streaming pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++.
• Experience with AWS (CDK, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, Lambda, S3).

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of global data security standards.
• Familiarity with GitHub and code versioning.
• Experience with AI integration in engineering workflows.
