Description

You will design and develop tools and factory automation equipment to support the manufacturing of rockets. Working closely with design and manufacturing teams, you will turn high-level requirements into functional hardware that directly enables production of Terran R.

Requirements

• Experience in designing tools, fixtures, and automation equipment
• Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 drafting standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
• Strong collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality production tooling and automation solutions for Terran vehicle and Aeon engine programs
• Integrate mechanical design and analysis concepts across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Apply ASME Y14.5 drafting standards to create tooling drawing definitions
• Handle technical problems involving material handling, assembly fixtures, test fixtures, and custom machines
• Collaborate with component designers, manufacturing engineers, and integration engineering for cradle-to-grave metrics
