💼 About This Role

You'll lead a team of data scientists partnering with product teams at the Wikimedia Foundation to guide product decisions through quantitative insights. Your work will directly impact Wikipedia and its global community of knowledge seekers. You'll own the delivery of accurate data, mentor your team, and drive data-informed product development.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Deliver timely quantitative insights for product strategy and decisions
• Manage and mentor a team of seven data scientists
• Partner with engineering to build accessible data products and tools
• Develop experimentation and measurement best practices

📋 Requirements

• Deep experience with experimental design and statistics for internet-scale data
• Experience collaborating with product development teams in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience as a people manager
• Experience with large-scale data processing tools like Hadoop, Hive, Presto, Spark

✨ Nice to Have

• Exposure to ethical data management and privacy practices
• Contributed to Wikimedia projects or open source
• Experience with Superset, Growthbook, or similar tools
