💼 About This Role

You'll drive daily editorial execution and produce impactful stories across streaming, digital, social, and broadcast platforms. You will serve as the hub of news gathering, combining assignment editor and digital producer skills in a 24/7 newsroom. This hybrid role offers a chance to shape a streaming-first future and authentically connect with the community.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead newsroom coverage during breaking news
• Identify and plan stories using editorial judgment and social listening
• Create and edit content for digital platforms (website, app, streaming)
• Provide editorial support to MSJs, producers, and photojournalists

📋 Requirements

• 1-3 years of journalism experience in a local newsroom or digital production
• Strong news judgment and ability to make fast editorial decisions
• Excellent writing skills for accurate, compelling content
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications (or equivalent experience)

• Experience as an assignment editor
• Familiarity with St. Louis or reason to relocate
