You'll serve as the technical anchor for Braze's Channels division, bridging customer-facing dashboards with delivery engines. You'll drive architectural direction and lead large, ambiguous projects spanning multiple teams. This role combines hands-on coding with division-wide technical leadership to evolve shared foundations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Drive architectural direction and define best practices across the division.
• Lead large, ambiguous projects end-to-end from design to rollout.
• Mentor engineers through code review, architecture review, and pairing.
• Improve observability and error handling across dashboard and delivery layers.
• Design and build foundational systems and frameworks as a force multiplier.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience as a technical leader influencing multiple teams or complex systems.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and TypeScript/React.
• Experience designing and shipping foundational infrastructure used by other engineers.

• Experience building shared component libraries or design system primitives.
• Experience with real-time systems or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with developer experience tooling like code generation or CI/CD.
