Description

You will lead a team of component design engineers responsible for all fluid control devices on the Terran R rocket, collaborating with partner teams to integrate valve designs and ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Requirements

• Experience managing or leading technical engineering teams
• Strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering, particularly fluid control devices
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead collaborative projects with minimal oversight
• Experience with structural and thermal fluids analysis
• Proven track record of delivering complex hardware to aggressive schedules

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-performing team of component design engineers aligned with program milestones
• Define, scope, and schedule required actions to deliver qualified components to vehicle and engine integration teams
• Establish design requirements to execute aligned with program goals
• Lead recruiting, career development, and mentoring of engineers
• Oversee design of cryogenic, pneumatic, proportional, or solenoid valves
