πΌ About This Role
You'll lead The Economist's global syndication and licensing business, driving revenue through strategic content partnerships. You'll own key relationships with major third-party platforms, ensuring deals protect brand integrity while maximizing commercial value. This role offers the chance to shape AI licensing frameworks and influence the future of premium journalism distribution.
π― What You'll Do
- Own the commercial plan for syndication and licensing revenue.
- Lead complex negotiations on pricing, rights, and territory.
- Manage renewals and upsell/cross-sell to maximize lifetime value.
- Develop and maintain senior relationships with major partners.
π Requirements
- Significant commercial experience in syndication, content licensing, or media partnerships.
- Proven track record owning and growing a multi-million-pound revenue line.
- Experience leading teams with people management and strategic direction.
- Strong understanding of rights frameworks (territory, term, exclusivity, derivatives).
β¨ Nice to Have
- Experience in B2B2C subscription or data businesses.
- Familiarity with AI licensing and content compliance.
- CRM and pipeline management expertise.
