Description

You will lead a machine learning engineering team at Pinterest, driving technical direction and strategic planning for search, recommendations, and notifications. You'll build large-scale ML systems and models, collaborating across teams to impact over 500 million users.

Requirements

• MS/PhD in CS, ML, NLP, Statistics, or related field
• 8+ years software development with track record of impactful solutions
• 1+ year managing a high-performing ML engineering team of 10+ members
• Experience with large-scale production recommendation, search, or ads systems
• Strong experience in applied machine learning and recommendation systems

Responsibilities

• Lead ML-based retrieval, ranking, candidate generation, and sequence modeling for search and recommendations
• Drive team vision and ensure alignment with company goals
• Manage and mentor a team of 10+ machine learning engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, data science, and design
• Communicate team impact to senior leadership
