Description

You will maintain and improve the lumped-parameter thermofluid physics model of the Raptor engine, conduct engine cycle analysis for future-state design, and perform anomaly resolution using the engine model and sparse instrumentation. Your work will guide engine design and operations for every mission and engine test.

Requirements

  • Experience with lumped-parameter thermofluid modeling
  • Proficiency in engine cycle analysis
  • Strong data analysis and simulation skills
  • Ability to derive insights from sparse instrumentation

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the accuracy of the lumped-parameter thermofluid physics model of the Raptor engine
  • Conduct engine cycle analysis to steer future-state engine design and thrust upgrades
  • Conduct anomaly resolution utilizing the engine model and sparse instrumentation
  • Develop detailed understanding of rocket engine performance physics, variability sources, and modeling techniques
