You'll lead an opto-mechanical process engineering team to develop subassembly and assembly processes for quantum computer systems. You'll drive process development from design to volume production, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to meet quality and schedule targets. This role offers a unique opportunity to scale cutting-edge silicon photonics technology in a fast-paced startup environment.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Design and develop assembly process flow for quantum computer sub-systems
  • Deliver and verify equipment, tooling, and fixtures with suppliers
  • Release design documents, work instructions, and control plans
  • Train and audit processes for volume assembly build

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Master's degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Applied Physics
  • 10+ years of experience in opto-mechanical assembly process problem-solving
  • Experience with optical and photonics assembly equipment and processes (die attach, wire bonding, optical coupling, etc.)
  • Experience in design, analysis, and assembly of subsystems and NPI pilot line transfer

  • Supplier and contract manufacturing management experience
  • Experience in datacom, telecom, or optical communication industry bringing products to volume
