You'll design and maintain character rigging and deformation systems for AAA game titles at 2K. You'll collaborate with animation and engineering teams to optimize real-time performance and create scalable tools. 🎯 What You'll Do

  • Design and maintain character rigs for high-quality real-time animation.
  • Develop animation tools to improve artist workflow and iteration speed.
  • Optimize rigs and skeletons for memory, runtime, and platform constraints.
  • Support animation state machines and blend trees within the game engine.

📋 Requirements

  • 3-4 years professional experience as a Technical Artist or Rigger.
  • Strong understanding of character rigging, skinning, and deformation principles.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity game engines.
  • Proficiency in Python or MEL scripting.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with advanced deformation systems like muscle or corrective shapes.
  • Knowledge of procedural rigging tools or node-based workflows.
  • Experience with motion capture pipelines, retargeting, and data cleanup.
