Description

You will support production of all electrical systems for Starship and SuperHeavy booster, focusing on developing and standardizing process chains, designing factory stations and tooling, and collaborating with design engineering for cost-effective manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering
• 1+ years of manufacturing engineering experience via project, research, internship, or professional experience
• Experience with mechanical design tools (CAD, FEA, GD&T, tolerance stack analysis)
• Experience with PCB fabrication or PCBA assembly processes and DFM requirements
• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly processes and DFM requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize process chains for Starship electronics components
• Design and deliver new factory stations and production assets to expand capability and reduce cycle time
• Design mechanical tooling for building, testing, and delivering avionics hardware
• Develop DFM guidelines and collaborate with design engineering on co-design
• Analyze root cause and provide corrective actions for process escapes or variability
