Requirements

• Experience covering news and deep understanding of Broward County
• Excellent sources and ability to create new ones
• Strong reporting skills, comfortable working independently and on deadline
• Ability to decipher data, break news, and create conceptual scoops
• Background in understanding local and national news coverage

Responsibilities

• Author two twice-weekly Axios newsletters with insights and scoops for the hyper-local audience
• Command the local market and illuminate busy readers about their community
• Help build Axios Local and shape product evolution
• Create stories across newsletter, web, and social media
