Description

You will develop high-performance and lightweight satellite deployment systems, mechanisms, and satellite bus configurations for high-value science and interplanetary missions. You'll own component designs from concept through production, test, and operation, and support business development with proposals and mission concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
• 5+ years (Engineer I) or 8+ years (Engineer II) of mechanical engineering experience
• Experience with CAD modeling and drawing
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance and lightweight satellite systems, mechanisms, and bus configurations
• Perform hand-calculations and FEA to drive design decisions
• Lead component design, manufacturing, and test reviews
• Create and maintain product definition through CAD, production drawings, and test procedures
• Manage development schedules, vendors, budgets, and project deliverables
