Description

As a Senior Software Engineer in Simulation Engineering at Rocket Lab, you will design and develop high-fidelity simulation models for complex aerospace systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive innovation and improve system performance by creating and optimizing simulation workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field
• 5+ years (Sr I) or 8+ years (Sr II) industry experience in simulation engineering or computational modeling
• Proficiency in Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar
• Experience with simulation frameworks (e.g., Simulink, ANSYS, COMSOL) and modeling physical systems
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement simulation models for complex systems and processes
• Analyze and validate simulation results for accuracy and reliability
• Collaborate with domain experts to define requirements and refine parameters
• Optimize simulation performance and scalability for large-scale systems
• Develop tools and frameworks to support simulation workflows and analysis
