💼 About This Role
You'll coordinate with nursing leadership to identify training needs and implement VEG's training programs. You'll split your time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategy work to develop care teams. This role offers the chance to advance towards VTS certification and shape emergency medicine standards.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Assess nurses' competency through observations and knowledge evaluations.
- Facilitate in-person training for assistants and nurses based on hospital needs.
- Collaborate with nursing education to develop training programs and objectives.
- Provide educational opportunities such as webinars, labs, and workshops.
📋 Requirements
- Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT).
- Experience in emergency medicine.
- Teaching and mentoring skills for veterinary technicians.
✨ Nice to Have
- VTS certification in ECC, Internal Medicine, or Anesthesia.
- Previous experience in a training role.
- Willingness to travel within the local region.
