💼 About This Role

You'll establish and lead a new Immunoassay Development function for complex conjugated vaccines at Vaxcyte. You'll drive development of potency- and antigenicity-based immunoassays supporting CMC from preclinical to commercialization. This role offers stewardship of the advanced VAX-31 MSD platform and partnership with current leadership for knowledge transfer.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Establish and lead the Immunoassay Development function within Analytical Development.
• Partner with current leadership to internalize VAX-31 MSD immunoassay platform.
• Drive development, optimization, and lifecycle management of immunoassays.
• Build, mentor, and manage a team of laboratory scientists.

📋 Requirements

• PhD in Biochemistry, Immunology, or related field with 10+ years experience.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with MSD or closely related immunoassay platforms.
• Direct experience with conjugated vaccines, including polysaccharide–protein conjugates.
• Strong working knowledge of GMP and global regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, ICH).

• Experience with potency and antigenicity assays for vaccine release and stability.
• Background in protein chemistry and conjugation chemistry.
