You'll build macroeconomic and credit indicators from raw transaction data, developing forecasting models to identify economic turning points. Your work will directly inform internal strategy and external research, providing differentiated early insights into household financial health.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Build transformations and filters on large-scale transaction data to extract economic signals.
- Develop forecasting models for household financial conditions and credit dynamics.
- Identify leading indicators and turning points across liquidity, spending, and credit behavior.
- Write investor-grade analyses and dashboards synthesizing model outputs with economic context.
📋 Requirements
- PhD in Economics or equivalent quantitative field.
- 4-8 years of applied experience in macro strategy or credit analytics.
- Strong econometric and time-series modeling skills linking micro data to macro outcomes.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience handling large, noisy datasets.
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience in hedge funds, asset management, or fintech risk teams.
- Familiarity with consumer credit behavior and household finance.
- Track record of forecasting under uncertainty with measurable performance.
