💼 About This Role

You'll join Inertia's experimental physics team to advance Inertial Fusion Energy (IFE) research through laser-plasma experiments and diagnostic development. Your work will directly validate models and guide target fabrication tolerance, bridging material science and plasma physics to accelerate commercial fusion.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and execute experiments on laser-plasma interactions
• Analyze experimental data to validate simulation models
• Develop new metrology and diagnostic methods for target quality
• Document results in scientific publications and internal reports

📋 Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or related discipline
• 3-5 years experience in high-energy-density physics or laser-plasma experiments
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or equivalent for data analysis

• Experience with large-scale laser facilities like NIF or OMEGA
• Knowledge of target fabrication processes and defect characterization
• Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
