Description

You will lead the technical direction and architecture of SoFi's next-generation AI-powered Data Platform, enabling personalized member experiences. You'll design large-scale data pipelines, drive adoption of cloud-native technologies, and mentor senior engineers to elevate data reliability and engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 12+ years in data engineering and analytics, with 4+ years at staff level or higher
• Mastery of modern data stack: Snowflake, Python, SQL, GitLab, AWS, Airflow
• Expert-level proficiency in cloud databases (Snowflake, Redshift, GCP) and distributed processing (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
• Strong knowledge of data modeling (Kimball/Data Vault) and data architecture

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for the data engineering group
• Lead architecture and delivery of large-scale, high-performance data pipelines
• Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies and automation frameworks
• Implement data privacy, security, and compliance frameworks
• Mentor Staff and Senior data engineers, fostering engineering excellence
