You'll lead geometallurgical modeling projects at StratumAI, a mining ML startup backed by Founders Fund and Y Combinator. Your work directly improves mine planning and ore control for clients. This remote-first role offers the chance to shape cutting-edge AI technology in mining.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead metallurgical team and ensure quality control of geometallurgical models
• Audit client kriging models and Stratum's ML-based models
• Analyze mine site databases for geometallurgical parameters
• Collaborate with ML engineers and client mine planners

📋 Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Mineral Process Engineering
• 20+ years experience in mineral processing including open pit and underground
• Extensive knowledge of copper and gold deposit types
• Understanding of geometallurgy models and machine learning applications

✨ Nice to Have

• CP/QP designation for multiple deposit types in Australia or Canada
• Technical proficiency in another language
• Experience in a start-up or mining consultancy
