Description

You will operate at the intersection of Machine Learning, Data Science, and Economics to build scalable optimization and modeling systems that directly impact Lyft's marketplace. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the roadmap for foundational marketplace models, from problem formulation to production deployment.

Requirements

• M.S. in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, CS, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field
• 4+ years hands-on experience deploying optimization/ML models in production
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with clean production code
• End-to-end experience with data querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization
• Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Design, formulate, and solve complex optimization problems for pricing, pay, incentives, and resource allocation
• Build, deploy, and maintain production-grade ML and optimization models with robust monitoring
• Own full model lifecycle from prototyping to production deployment
• Drive large-scale technical projects from concept to execution
• Partner with cross-functional teams to frame problems mathematically and influence roadmaps
