💼 About This Role

You'll lead a brand-new AI Operations team at M-KOPA, designing, shipping, and scaling automations and AI agents that directly improve how 2,300+ employees work. Your work will help scale financial inclusion across Africa for over 7 million customers. This is a chance to define the role of AI at a TIME 100 recognized fintech.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead two AI Ops Engineers, owning delivery and development
• Prioritize competing requests from multiple teams using a clear framework
• Build and ship automations and agents that measurably improve internal work
• Keep the AI tooling stack healthy as usage scales across 2500+ employees

📋 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building automations with scripting or workflow tools
• Hands-on experience building agents with frameworks like LangChain or MCP
• Background in enterprise tooling such as identity automation or internal platforms
• People leadership experience, having led or mentored engineers

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with rapid prototyping tools like Vercel or Railway
• Familiarity with Claude, Notion, HiBob, or Entra integrations
