Description

As a Lead AI/ML Engineer on the Labs team, you will serve as a hands-on technical lead responsible for implementing robust code and guiding the architectural direction of ML/AI/optimization-based systems. You will contribute code daily, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to scale next-generation AI capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, ML, Applied Math or related field
• 4+ years developing ML, AI, or optimization systems with production deployment
• Strong Python skills with NumPy, pandas, PySpark and at least 3 of PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Pyomo
• Hands-on experience with optimization problems and solvers like Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools, Pyomo, PuLP, CBC, or SCIP
• Experience with CI/CD and MLOps tools (MLflow, Azure ML, Databricks)
• Familiarity with cloud (Azure preferred), Docker, Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on developer building end-to-end ML, AI, and optimization solutions
• Lead technical design, implementation, and review for POCs and production systems
• Architect and implement robust ML(AI)Ops pipelines
• Build reusable ML components and APIs
• Drive technical best practices in code quality, documentation, and observability
• Mentor junior engineers and represent Labs in technical forums
