Requirements

• PhD or MS in synthetic biology, bioengineering, molecular biology, or related field, or 3+ years hands-on genome manipulation expertise
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with current editing techniques
• Experience with cell culture, transfection, bacterial culture, cloning, PCR, gel electrophoresis, nucleic acid extraction
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiasm for fast-paced startup environment and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Design and innovate DNA assembly, integration, editing and screening
• Build enabling molecular and cellular tools
• Perform DNA/RNA transfections and viral transductions
• Quantify genome editing events using molecular assays
• Present findings at meetings and maintain detailed lab notebooks
