💼 About This Role

You'll gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. You'll assist with triage, diagnostics, and inpatient care while exploring if the ER is your future. This externship offers real-time mentoring and immersion in a fast-paced environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Pair with an emergency credentialed veterinary technician for real-time mentoring
• Shadow and assist with triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care
• Practice skills required by your school's proficiency checklist with mentorship
• Experience the teamwork and pace defining emergency care at VEG

📋 Requirements

• Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program
• Enrolled in a course that requires externship hours or skills
• Current rabies vaccination or titer required
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg alone
