💼 About This Role

You'll design and validate electrical protection schemes for microgrid environments powering gigawatt-scale datacenter loads. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver protection relay configurations that maximize uptime and safety. Your work will help prove what's possible with microgrids at an unprecedented scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Design protection schemes for microgrid generation assets across all operating modes.
  • Perform coordination studies and develop relay settings for selectivity and safety.
  • Integrate protection design with controls and SCADA systems.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and post-event root-cause analysis.

📋 Requirements

  • M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus.
  • 5–10+ years experience in electrical protection design and relay settings.
  • Hands-on experience designing protections for utility-scale or industrial power systems.
  • Proficiency with protection relay logic and commissioning using OMICRON or Doble.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with islanded or weak-grid systems.
  • Familiarity with IEC 61850, GOOSE, DNP3, or Modbus.
  • Experience with arc flash analysis and equipment duty calculations.
