Description

You will drive the architecture, sizing, and development of thermal systems for reusable launch vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to perform analyses, validate designs, and execute tests that ensure mission success.

Requirements

• Strong grasp of thermodynamics and all heat transfer modes
• Experience with first principle hand calculations and reduced or detailed thermal modeling
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and drive cross-functional designs
• Hands-on experience with test article integration, instrumentation, and data processing

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture, sizing, and development of thermal systems like insulation, heaters, and thermal protection
• Build, execute, and validate thermal analyses at component, sub-system, and vehicle level
• Direct design and development engineers in applying thermal sciences to meet requirements
• Develop and execute tests for thermal system development and qualification
