Description

Provide strategic clinical leadership and oversight of nursing services across a multi-state IDD organization, strengthening infrastructure for medically complex and aging populations while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, multi-state or ability to obtain.
  • 7-10 years progressive nursing leadership experience in IDD field.
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration, delegation, and regulatory requirements in IDD/behavioral health.
  • Experience supporting individuals with IDD, aging adults with complex medical needs.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with eMAR implementation preferred.
  • Experience with HRST or similar risk stratification tools preferred.
  • Must reside within and willingness to travel regularly throughout MA, CT, NH, MD, VT.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as senior nursing authority accountable for practice quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance across all states and service lines.
  • Reduce clinical and regulatory risk through medication oversight, standardizing documentation, and proactive incident analysis.
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide nursing model defining roles, scopes of practice, caseloads, supervision, and delegation.
  • Oversee contracted nursing vendors including setting quality standards and monitoring performance.
  • Lead medication management infrastructure including eMAR system selection and implementation.
  • Standardize nursing documentation and partner with Quality to conduct joint audits.
  • Establish training and competency frameworks for nurses, DSPs, and home providers.
  • Lead use of health risk assessment tools (HRST) to inform clinical oversight and training priorities.
  • Analyze hospitalization and ER utilization data to identify trends and drive preventive interventions.
  • Partner with Finance to evaluate ROI of nursing staffing models.
