Description

You will lead the Language Clients team at ClickHouse, responsible for client libraries that connect developers to the ClickHouse database. You'll build a high-output culture, set technical direction, and expand into the broader open source ecosystem through integrations, SDKs, and community engagement.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing software engineers with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining talent
• 10+ years of industry experience building developer-facing tools, open source software, or data-intensive systems
• Hands-on engagement with technical designs, code review, and guiding via technical feedback
• Experience collaborating with open source communities and earning trust in public technical spaces
• Customer-centric mindset: turns developer feedback into roadmap and ships fast with tight feedback loops

Responsibilities

• Recruit, coach, and develop a high-bar engineering team; foster ownership, speed, and continuous improvement
• Shape product and execution strategy for language clients to stay ahead of 10x growth
• Make architectural decisions to maintain a customer-focused, fast-shipping culture
• Lead expansion from core client libraries into integrations, SDKs, partner tooling, and community extensions
• Build productive relationships with product, developer relations, and sales engineering
