Description

As a Principal Solutions Engineer, you'll act as the primary technical field expert in sales engagements, helping customers define challenges and map them to the Couchbase ecosystem. You'll lead technical discovery, deliver compelling demonstrations, and ensure successful proof-of-concept pilots while partnering with sales, product, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years in Pre-Sales/Customer-Facing/Consulting role
• 6-8 years as senior solutions engineer
• Programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, C, or SQL
• Experience with one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience designing solutions on a major database platform including data modeling, indexes, query optimization

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to define challenges and map them to the Couchbase ecosystem, presenting business value
• Support technical and business discovery activities including workshops and demonstrations
• Work with sales team on account strategy and identify additional opportunities
• Manage customer PoC/Pilots: acceptance criteria, issue escalation/resolution
• Develop and deliver engaging company/product presentations and demonstrations
