💼 About This Role

You'll support the U.S. EPA by conducting research on bioaerosol sampling and detection technologies in a federal lab environment. You'll design experiments, operate aerosol generation systems, and analyze data to improve air quality monitoring methods. This onsite role involves hands-on lab work and close collaboration with EPA scientists.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Support research and evaluation of bioaerosol sampling technologies
• Operate and maintain aerosol generation and sampling equipment
• Assist in experimental design and data collection in controlled environments
• Conduct bioaerosol sample preparation and analysis following EPA protocols

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, or related field
• Hands-on experience in aerosol science or bioaerosols
• Familiarity with aerosol generation systems and particle measurement
• Proficiency in maintaining electronic research notebooks and QA/QC procedures

• Experience with UV, photocatalytic, or portable air cleaning devices
• Track record of contributing to peer-reviewed publications or conference outputs
• Experience implementing organizational quality assurance plans
