Description

You will own the relationship between engineering, production, and quality teams to improve inspection reliability and efficiency. You'll provide input on hardware design for manufacturability and inspectability, and lead inspection processes for Starship machining operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
• 1+ years machine shop, manufacturing, quality, or inspection experience
• Highly experienced with precision metrology systems (CMMs, 3D imaging)
• Well versed in GD&T and inspection procedures
• Proficiency in CNC and CMM programming

Responsibilities

• Determine inspection methods for maximum utilization and reduced part stagnation
• Increase inspection throughput via automation opportunities
• Maintain feedback loops with design and manufacturing teams to reduce cycle times
• Update engineering drawings to improve manufacturing and inspection
• Lead inspection process initiatives for efficiency gains
