Description

You will support the development, verification, and test of satellite systems, building finite element models and performing structural analysis to ensure flightworthiness. Collaborate with a cross-functional team on state-of-the-art satellites.

Requirements

• BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• 6+ years experience in spacecraft or launch vehicle structural analysis
• Proficiency with NASTRAN and Femap/Patran
• Experience with static, modal, and vibration analyses
• Ability to set up and analyze satellite components and systems

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate-scale structural analysis with cross-functional coordination
• Develop and maintain finite element models (FEMs) at component and satellite level
• Document and present FEA results for modal, stress, and vibration analysis
• Create and execute structural test plans for vibration, shock, and static loads
• Develop and maintain structural analysis software tools
