💼 About This Role

You'll design and maintain Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments to stress-test power electronics and site controllers. Your automated frameworks will catch edge cases before deployment, ensuring grid-scale reliability for Redwood's circular energy ecosystem. This role combines embedded systems validation with CI/CD integration.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and scale SIL/HIL environments using platforms like Typhoon HIL.
• Develop automated test suites in Python for validation frameworks.
• Define and execute V&V plans for site controller and embedded systems.
• Integrate automated HIL/SIL testing into CI/CD pipelines.

📋 Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years in software validation or test automation for hardware-focused systems.
• Expert proficiency in Python (Pytest) and familiarity with Rust and C/C++.
• Proven experience with real-time simulation platforms (Typhoon HIL, Opal-RT, dSPACE).

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Jenkins/GitHub Actions and Docker.
• Comfort with high-voltage lab equipment and digital protocols (CAN, SPI, Ethernet).
