💼 About This Role

You'll join the Booking team at Waymo to build high-impact user-facing flows for autonomous ride-hailing. You'll design scalable core services that enable users to hail and control vehicles. This role offers the chance to shape the future of autonomous mobility with a small, ambitious team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable core services for the Marketplace.
• Enable users to hail and control Waymo's autonomous vehicles.
• Ensure high reliability, low latency, and fault tolerance of critical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch novel ride-hailing features.
• Architect APIs for internal and external partners.

📋 Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of backend programming experience.
• Experience building backend distributed systems.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with C++ in production.
• MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with low-latency, large-scale, user-facing distributed systems.
