💼 About This Role

You'll lead core backend services for a high-growth social platform. Your work will power people recommendations and location-based features that foster in-person connections. You'll collaborate across teams in a Node.js and AI-driven environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead key components of Core Services like People Recommendations Engines
• Apply deep knowledge of databases (Postgres SQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, data scientists)
• Ensure scalable, maintainable, innovative solutions

📋 Requirements

• BS/MS in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years hands-on modern software development experience
• System design expertise and mastery in Node.js, JavaScript, Golang, or TypeScript
• Production experience with Search applications (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building/scaling backend systems in a startup
• Hands-on knowledge of agentic GenAI systems
• Enthusiasm for AI tools and prompt engineering
