You'll drive storage performance optimization for Vultr's cloud infrastructure, focusing on Ceph-based systems and customer-facing storage products. You'll benchmark, tune, and enhance storage performance across GPU and compute products. This role offers visibility in a high-growth, privately-held cloud company valued at $3.5B.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Improve storage performance from a customer-focused perspective
• Benchmark and analyze storage product and GPU/Compute combinations
• Recommend and implement performance tuning
• Contribute to Ceph-based storage design and architecture

📋 Requirements

• Ceph performance tuning experience
• Linux networking and storage protocol tuning (NFS, iSCSI)
• 6+ years configuring and managing distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (RKE2 or similar)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with virtio-blk and virtio-fs
• Knowledge of RKE2 or similar Kubernetes distributions
• Fluency with CentOS, RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu
