Description
As a Tax Associate at Carta, you'll assist in delivering tax returns and supporting the delivery process for venture capitalists and fund managers. You'll collaborate with accounting, fund administration, and compliance teams to automate and scale tax workflows.
Requirements
- Experience supporting preparation and filing of tax returns and IRS e-filings
- High attention to detail: written and quantitative
- Organized and calm under pressure, able to manage competing demands
- Experience leveraging technologies to automate processes
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with tax return processing including e-filing and mailing of federal and state filings
- Scan and file federal and state notices and maintain notice tracker
- Route tax-related client inquiries to relevant tax team members
- Collect and validate tax records and financial data via proprietary Carta Tax software
- Support special projects on an ad-hoc basis
