Description

As a PCB Designer at SpaceX, you'll create layouts for in-house board designs, collaborating with hardware engineers on schematics and design reviews. You'll contribute to various designs including radio phased arrays and solar power converters, and work with PCB vendors to improve design rules and manufacturing guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 1+ years PCB layout experience, or 3+ years PCB layout experience without degree
• Experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management
• Understanding of design for manufacturability, assembly, and test
• Experience with Mentor Xpedition and/or Altium Designer
• Ability to work extended hours for critical deadlines

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stackup, component placement, and signal routing of PCBs
• Library creation and maintenance
• Release documentation for fabrication of PCBs
• Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to improve design rules and DFM guidelines
• Utilize and evaluate PCB design tools, and train team members
