Description
In this role, you will lead sustaining and continuous improvement initiatives in a robotics manufacturing facility. You will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize production processes, troubleshoot assembly and design issues, implement lean manufacturing strategies, and drive innovation in robotic assembly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in a commercial manufacturing environment (robotics, automotive, aerospace, or medical preferred)
- Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems, mechanisms, actuators, PCBAs, and sensors
- Engineering Change Order (ECO) experience within a PLM system (Windchill preferred)
- Proficiency in Python, Linux, and/or C languages
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve manufacturing, field, and design issues for electronic assemblies, supporting RCA and CAPA
- Lead sustaining engineering efforts by implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECRs/ECOs) for product design and BOMs
- Author and maintain technical documentation including work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and equipment specifications
- Develop design updates to improve manufacturability and resolve production issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements in capacity, quality, cost, and safety
