Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer I at Rocket Lab's Optical Systems division in Chantilly, VA, you will support the U.S. Space Development Agency's Tranche 3 by automating CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications for advanced electro-optical/infrared technology. You'll collaborate with project leads, align with security and IT policies, and automate software deployments across AWS, containers, Kubernetes, and bare metal servers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with 5-8 years of experience
• Experience in AWS cloud-based development and operations
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Experience with DevOps tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory
• Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

Responsibilities

• Support AWS development, test, and production environments
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines with automation for containers, data management, and release/deployment
• Automate software deployments using virtual machines, Kubernetes, Cloud environments, and bare metal servers
• Engage in assessing and refactoring applications to leverage modern architectures like containers
• Participate in Agile sprints and associated activities
